Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Shooting For a ... - Gamer Syndrome

Mortal Kombat: Complete Edition is having quite a few issues in getting released in Australia: the game is the equivalent of a Game Of The Year edition for the fighting game Mortal Kombat, released some time ago on Ps3 and Xbox 360, featuring all the extra downloadable content released for the game. Originally announced a year ago and released in February, the game couldn?t be released in Australia due to the refusal of the Australian Classification Board: the game couldn?t be rated and as a consequence it was never officially released, despite an appeal by Warner Bros.

The company still hasn?t given up on the whole situation: Warner Bros is trying to get the game to Australia again, this time shooting for a 18 classification which, if given, could finally make the game available over there. Together with the old Komplete edition, the company is also seeking classification for the PsVita version of Mortal Kombat, which is identical to the complete edition.

The 18+ classification was introduced at the beginning of this month and a game already has been classified with it: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor?s Edge on Wii U is the first 18+ game released in Australia. This doesn?t mean that things will be easy for Mortal Kombat but it?s definitely a start.
