Casemod Turns Your PC Into a Lightcycle

Tron casemod[Photo: Bods-Mods]Tron fans aren?t the only ones who should be paying attention here, as any avid casemodder will want to check out this awesome Tron lightcycle PC. Created by the experienced casemodder(s) from Bods-Mods, the final case is a 40-inch replica of the lightcycles seen in 2010?s Tron: Legacy--sleek curves and blue lighting included.

Work on the ambitious case mod originally started back in FebruarY, and only reached completion this May, after months of work. The lightcycle PC has now been entered into Cooler Master?s 2011 Casemod Competition, with voting underway as of this writing.

The build process, which you can follow from start to finish on the Cooler Master forum, saw the designer initially sketching the case design in 3D. From here a scaled-down cardboard model was created, followed by DIY foam shape creation, laser cutting and much more.

Inside the liquid-cooled USB 3.0-friendly PC is a Crucial SSD, ATX Motherboard and Intel Core i7 CPU. Oh, and just to finish the Tron theme off, the designer also decided to pick up Razor?s official Tron themed keyboard and mouse.

This has to be one of the most impressive casemods I?ve ever seen, and even though this is coming from a Tron fan, Bods-Mods efforts would make a deserving winner in the competition.
